A near Perfect Priorat!
Displaying silky and beautiful flavours on a lively palate of very fine tannins on top of a confident mineraly backbone.
The nose shows hints of coffee, chocolate and pastry, whilst the palate is intensely sweet, bursting with fresh raisins, unctuous, touches of coffee with milk and cocoa and enough acidity to leave your palate ready for more.
Sourced from two tiny parcels in prime Riesling country, with its signature red dirt over limestone. Hand-picked in the cool of the night to help ensure a slow start to fermentation. De-stemmed, then gently pressed, keeping the pressings separate. A cool ferment of 12 degrees was maintained over 16 days. The two vineyard batches were kept separate until final blending took place. Left on lees until final filtration prior to bottling. Zestful, yet fine, epitomising what dry Watervale Riesling’s all about. Freshly squeezed key lime and lemon rind with a hint of rose petal perfume. Picked early to retain loads of natural, crunchy acid.

Sam and Mandy Weaver's Churton Vineyard spans a ridgeline bordering the Waihopai Valley and Omaka's high country. Corofin's Pinot comes from 0.5 hectares of the northerly 'Clod Block', a northeast-facing terrace planted around 20 years ago. Managed organically (Bio Gro), it's the most inland and southern site that Corofin source from. Therefore, it's the most extreme with a high diurnal range. It's often picked some ten days after Cowley. Another point of differentiation is the soil here--this parcel has plenty of gravel running through the clay.
Dangerously easy to drink from one of Australia's most highly regarded and awarded wineries.
Rich with flavour - spices and dark fruits with a clean acid and fine tannin.
Blackberries, rich red summer fruits, tight tannings and a lingering mouthfeel that promises a long soft finish.
Recognisable for its simple elegance and purity of flavour from one of Australia's most highly regarded and awarded wineries.
Light to medium-bodied - pretty but well structured - vanillin, violet with erthen tannins.
