2020 is a vintage which shows exceptional balance and texture with a youthful elegance. These hallmarks certainly favour significant ageing potential.
Silky and smooth on the palate, the mouthfeel softens as layers of cherry fruit are wrapped in a comforting blanket of ripe tobacco and worn leather. The firm, yet lingering finish is perfectly balanced with touches of baking spices, fragrant fruit and earth tones.
A stunning and extremely rare, still red wine produced only for the greatest vintages. This wine harmoniously combines 100% Pinot Noir Grand Cru fruit from an exceptional vineyard with traditional Burgundian style winemaking
Elegant small fruit flavours.
A pleasantly balanced wine which reveals a harmonious blend of fruit and terroir.
Aromatically a very pretty wine with cassis and raspberry characters intertwined. This paves the way for the elegant, medium bodied wine to shine. Our ageing of the wine in French oak barriques for 18 months harnessed the inherent fine tannin structure of Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon. This vintage is a wine of elegance and is immediately enjoyable now but will evolve with age.
Tasmania has a justified reputation for producing world class Pinot Noir wines – and we like to think we have contributed to this reputation! Meticulous work in the vineyard to lower bunch yields as well as careful handling in the winery (including a variable portion of whole bunch use) result in a Pinot Noir that is on the bold side – or as some have said, a Pinot Noir for Shiraz drinkers!
