Tasting Note

After storms hit the Hilltops during the 2010 vintage, the Grenache vineyard was decimated by Botrytis and was about to be harvested onto the ground. I decided to experiment with a Botrytis Grenache and the experiment worked! Like a Rose, the grapes were crushed and pressed straightaway giving the wine its light pink hue, before being matured in old
red barrels for 9 months.

The wine has a nose of poached pears and lychee and a palate that is luscious without being too thick and viscous, it is the perfect accompaniment to blue cheese or poached pears.
